I used to ergo all distances, now only to improve my last NKIR time
I started rowing on the erg at the beginning of 2005. I have not been fond of sports all my live. I was kindly suprised that I do like using the erg and it has made a huge attribution to my wellbeing. I now row for about 50km a week. I start most of my days rowing just after getting out of bed en befor going to work.

I like indoor rowing very much. Since may 2006 I have my own Concept2 rower at home, and so I am training much more. Everytime when you row a new personal time it gives you a very good feeling. It's great to row!!!!
What a find, this machine and software. Losing weight, a whole body work out, competition on any time of the day. All perfect motivations to stay in shape. (Addicted since dec 2004:)
This is my 15th erging season. Did close to 15.000km on the erg. Started OTW rowing in 2008 and now I am rowing more OTW than on the erg.
Picture is me cycling on the Mont Ventoux, another hobby of mine.

Iíve started in 2003 on a C2 Model D, and also on water with M.W.C. at Maastricht the Netherlands. Since 2011 I row on a Dynamic C2, but not on the water anymore because a lack of time.

Online rowing is great, just wish that more people would share my preference for short distances :)

Started rowing 7 years ago. Good to stay in shape and set some goals for yourself. Especially in holiday times. .

Dutch rower living in Kudelstaart, The Netherlands. I started college rowing in '88 at Proteus-Eretes in Delft. Rowed as a 'Master' at Delft DDS in the nineties and between '00 and '06 at Sammamish Rowing in Seattle, WA, USA. From '06 till '08 in Tuebingen, Germany. Currently with Michiel de Ruyter in Uithoorn, NL. Rowing online I typically practice to keep up fitness during winter, besides skating and biking.

I started in march 2002, but didn't row much... season 2003 28,8 km. In season 2004 just 4,8 km and in season 2005 I didn't row at all...
In april 2005 (season 2006) I started again (86,7 km) to fall back in the next season (18,3 km).
In april 2007 I became 40, the beginning of a new life... so back on the concept 2 and row, row, row.
Season 2008 started great: in two weeks already more km than last year. In total 47,6 km.
In oktober 2007 it stopped again, till the beginning of 2009. I'll go for longer distances and the challenges. And that worked out. Season 2009: 325km! Including half a marathon... I'm thrilled.
In season 2010 I thougt I was finally going to break the one million meters. That didn't happen, but now, february 2010 I'm rowing again. Who knwos what will come..
