I got my C2 in January of 2010 (huge thanks to my sister-in-law for introducing me to the indoor rower). Hit my first (lifetime) million meters on 11/12/2011 (fourth on 1/26/13). Joined LUNA-TICS early Feb 2012 and haven't looked back. A very helpful, supportive team :) |

I have been erging since 1997. I finally made it to 10MM in December of 2012. I have had to row around two total hip replacements. Erging is a perfect exercise due to the non-impact on the hips. I love being a member of the LUNA-TICS team. Everyone is very supportive and that in turn inspires me to row more meters. Erg on all you LUNA-TICS. |

Rowed for the first time on my Concept2 Model D on January 23, 2012. I'm hooked. I'm rowing to lose weight / get fit and for the sheer enjoyment of it. I believe I've finally found a form of exercise that I enjoy and can stick with (even if it is at tortoise speeds). |

My focus over the coming months is to be prepared for the Speight’s Coast to Coast multi-sport endurance race in February 2012.
The Speight's Coast to Coast traverses the South Island of New Zealand from Kumara Beach on the Tasman Sea to Sumner Beach on the Pacific Ocean. Over two days I will be required to cycle 140 kilometres (three stages of 55km, 15 km and 70 km), run 36 kilometres (including a 33 km mountain stage that crosses the Southern Alps) and kayak 67 kilometres of the grade two Waimakariri River through the Grand Canyon of New Zealand, the Waimakariri Gorge.
I’m comfortable with the cycle and paddle...but I’ve got my work cut out to train for the run, and not that isn’t to under estimate the other legs either...
But as always, the real fun is the journey...

Back in 2009 I was hit by a car while riding my motorcycle. After surgery and over a year of PT I was finally able to get back on my rower! My level of physical activity was limited due to foot, knee, shoulder and back injuries so the low impact workout of the Concept2 was perfect to continue my rehab. My health and fitness has improved dramatically which I attribute to rowing. In October 2012 I hit my 1 million meter mark and I'm on track for my first million meter session. Thank you Concept2 for a great product and supporting this online community and thank you LUNA-TICS for providing the needed motivation!
P.S. My wife and I love to ride but taking our pet Shih Tzu along is sometimes a bone of contention. |

Woohoo! It's Kona2! I joined the Luna-Tics Team in December 2007. Bicycling is still my favorite way to see the world, yet rowing is very addictive. The team, and the challenges, helped me go farther faster - 9 MM lifetime meters (11/11). Come on lucky 10! (They're all lucky!) Woot! |

I started rowing in earnest in late 2002. I found rowing to be a great off-season workout from cycling and kayaking. My goal is to row 1 million meters a year. So far, so good. The challenge for me is that I typically only row between September and March. I really enjoy the various challenges - they are great motivation. I especially look forward to the 200K holiday challenge. |

My addiction to rowing began in 1987 when I was a freshman at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia. Currently I am rowing for the New Haven Rowing Club in Oxford, CT. With the help of a crew friend, I was able to purchase my own single in 2006. However, I don't race her. My racing focus is on eights, fours, and quads. |

I don't work for NASA, but I would go to the moon if I had a chance! Rowing there is the next-best thing.
I tie my rowing workouts in with training for running marathons. I ran my first marathon just before I turned 40 in 2004. Liked it so much that I set my new goal to complete 100 running marathons before I die. I hope to be the oldest female on the course eventually. I figure if I keep at it long enough I will reach that goal.
Other passions include horseback riding; shooting sports; archery; fencing; Eskrima, a weapons based martial art of the Philippine Islands (more at www.HeartlandEskrimaSchool.com); good coffee and dark chocolate.
I love my Lord, Jesus Christ; my husband, Keith; my two sons, Tim and Ben; and my parents and sisters, and the rest of my family and friends, too! |

As a beginning erger, my main goal is to just get in shape and lose a few pounds. I chose the erg to go with my exercise bike so that I'd have a bit more variety in my cardio workouts.
After joining the LUNA-TICS, I find myself using the erg a lot more than the bike as I don't want to let them down (and I want to see the moon!) |

A fire is ignited from below. Burning

I am a c7/T1 incomplete quadraplegic due to an accident in Basic Training. I have been married for 11 years and have six children. After my injury, I was still able to bike long distances on the road which I thoroughly enjoyed. However, ever since my first run-in with the Concept 2 rower at the local YMCA I wanted one. I finally purchased one last October and am hoping to keep in shape and see how far this body will take me. Don't really know what I am doing as far as form, distance, or speed, but I love the competition and sweat. |

I am 44 years old, married and have a wonderful 10-year-old daughter. We live in a little village near Frankfurt in Germany.
I already started using the C2 a couple of years ago, but only found my way to the Online Ranking/Logbook around New Year 2008.
I enjoy being part of the LUNA-TICS team in the JVC and hope to be able to add a lot of meters! |

I've been rowing for the last few years for weight control and general fitness. I've lost 25 pounds so far, and hope to double that in the next season.
In the summer I cruise on a sailboat, with a rowing dinghy and kayak for exercise. |

My name is Noelle and I'm looking forward to going to the moon on my rowing machine! Once we get there, let's head to Saturn! :)
My goal for calendar year 2008 is to row 2 million meters so I can hit my 5 million meter mark (and perhaps drop a few lbs in the process). |

As a card-carrying luna-tic, I'm committed to returning to the Moon. So for all of you folks affilated with NASA, or are just interested in space exploration, please join me in racking up the miles to and fro from the Moon. 250,000 miles each way, so I'll need a lot of help.
I row to help relieve some of the stress that goes along with being responsible for developing robotic explorers of our Moon. Working for NASA is actually a lot of fun and a great honor, but having the chain to pull helps guide my occasional angst into improving my health. I hope you enjoy similar benefits of this magnificent obsession.
Cheers!

Started rowing in December 2010. Finished my first million in August 2011. Working on my second million. My YMCA is having a 5 month challenge which I won last year. This year my goal is 1 million (250K more than last year) and a minimum of two marathons. |

I rowed the 5 seat for Santa Clara University Womens Crew from 1977-1980. I learned to scull with LBRA in the early 80''s. Now 20+ years later I love having my own Model D.
Rowing maintains my sanity, even I am a member of the Lunatics! |

I like doing rowing. Its fun. And I am going to try to do it every day after school. i want to row sectillion.
I just got my 5,000 and 10,000 pin for rowing. I have been rowing 2000 and got tested. I would have been faster if the chain did not fall off and I had to stop for water. We are getting a new rowing machine that has a cage so our little brother Akira does not get his fingers in the machine. |

For an "old dog" learning new tricks, the Concept 2 rower has been a valuable alternative to "pounding the pavement" during early morning jogs or cycling in the dark. Best wishes to all the LUNA-TICS striving to get back somewhere "out there." |

Rowing is something I've taken to ever since I saw a rowing machine for the first time. Come what may, I row and I'm whole again. |
