Started erging in Jan 2011 as a supplement to my cycling and swimming and just got hooked. I did my first marathon in April 2012 in under 3 hours.
My second this year in April 2013 and managed to smash last years time with 2hrs 55min. Now 2nd in GB and 9th in the world rankings.

and have now completed 2 of the Ultra Distance goals I set myself. 100km completed 13/06/13 in 7:46:15.5 then Tandem 24hr on 22/06/13 with a new WR (40-49 LWT) of 324412m.

I dropped my weight down to 73.5k from 78 in December 2012 and am now a lightweight.
I'm slower (and older!) but ranked higher more likely to get medals in races so staying with it.

I work for IBM in the UK.
I've been rowing on the erg since May 2004 (well I've been recording metres on here since then).
I'm also a cyclist, time trialing (10miles, 25miles, 50miles and this year maybe 100miles). I'm still trying to get under the hour for a 25 mile time trial
I was born in April 1963. I married Debbie in 1986. We have three kids, Bryony (born 1992), Frayne (born 1994) and Konrad (born 2000).
I got under seven minutes on 2nd Jan 2006. I'm trying to get back to SUB 7 minutes.

I am blind and a right hand amputee. I used to play rugby and just wish I'd found rowing when I was still playing. Feeling good, looking better and I can still enjoy a few beers!

Former rower trying to get back into shape after about 8 years of not really doing anything and another 4 of on and off erging. More structured training started in winter 2012 and going reasonably well with the support of the Sub 7 team :-)
Made it down to lwt in Oct 13. Aiming to stay there!
Trained for 12 weeks and managed a fairly respectable 6:38.6 2k time at BIRC 2010. Since then, things have been on the slide and I kick myself that I didn't kick on with my training, and piled the weight on.
Love the rower, and would love to get my 2k time down to 6:20, at the same time shifting around 35kg in body fat!

I suffered two strokes back in November 2004. After discharge from hospital a physiotherapist suggested I use a gym as part of my rehab. I joined my local gym in June 2005 and was introduced to the Concept 2 rower about a year ago (Nov 2005). My goal is to get my 2,000m time under 7 mins.

Aiming for sub-6:30 before BIRC 2009
After using the erg in the gym to 'warm up' prior to weight training, I found I got hooked, and ended up doing more and more time on the erg. That was in 2009. Earlier this year I decided to buy my own C2, and love it. Great to see my general fitness levels improve month on month. Even better have gained a few 'virtual' friends from across the globe.

Hi! I've been rowing, more off than on, since 2001, but only started training seriously in Nov 2009 when I found Sub 7 IRC - what a great team! Targets are to keep at it, to get back below 75kgs (edit...achieved Jan 2010 - woohoo!) and to live up to my team's name one day. For training I'm using Pete Plan and RowPro online training sessions.
I'm single and have two teenage children. After 25 years in military and commercial aviation I am about to embark on a new career leading to becoming a paramedic.

I'm a 24 year old Personal Trainer and Ex-Swimmer, I have a strong passion for helping others lose weight and feel good about themselves (Very good at it too!) however while doing that I have disregarded my own training and diet.
This means I am now the heaviest I have ever been AND the most out of shape.
I have always enjoyed the challenge of the rower and it has always been my favorite piece of gym gear in a commercial gym.
I really look forward to competing, bettering myself and ultimately re-gaining the fitness and physique I once had.

Started erging on 16/05/10 when I did a ''''fly and die'''' 2k of 8:04.8 in my unfit state. Started Pete Plan Beginners the following day. 2k after 6 weeks was 7:30.8. My target is sub 7 at BIRC 10.
