I began rowing at 32 years ago, after a false positive on a stress cardiogram. Sarted with an Alden, moved to a Peinert lightweight racing shell, and rowed for years out of the Thompson Boat House here in DC. Full time erging now. 6 million meters @ May 2013.

Rowing and I first met in 1964 when I joined the Dalphin Club in San Francisco. Unfortunately it lasted only a year. Now adays when I use my Concept 2 I close my eyes and see the ripples disapear through the fog as I glide across the glassy waters of Lake Merced.
