Steady-state with a focus on technique. Did not use a heart rate belt and most of the time erged by "feel" with eyes shut. Of course the one “feeling” I am particularly interested in is starting the drive off the stretcher with the buttocks. Whenever I am successful in doing so, I find that my pelvis is usually in neutral alignment with my spine.
