In the last week or so I have noticed that when I do pause drills at the catch the force curve becomes ideal.

I wonder if this doesn’t this give fresh force to Harry Mahon’s idea that to be poised forward on the front of the slides before the blade is in the water allows us maximum efficiency.

Mahon goes on to add, There is a point when you don’t have to do anything except make sure that you are connected.

What does Mahon mean by connected?

If he didn’t object to my substituting make sure that the blades are adequately immersed for “make sure that you are connected,” I could say that I understood him in full measure.
