Tried a different goal this morning. Instead of focusing on getting 10 meters-per-stroke, I focused on producing an ideal force curve.

Of course the overriding goal was to be pain-free. Accordingly, whenever I felt pain I got off the erg and stretched. The rest periods were brief. There were only three or four of them, but they helped.

On the erg I sat upright, rowed only to my strong point, and focused on maintaining the natural shaped curve of the spine by keeping my center of gravity well inside Dubousset’s cone of economy. Eleven o’clock at the catch/One o’clock at the finish!
