Much the same workout that I have been doing for days: 2 ≥ 6000m pieces with a break between to stretch and find the natural shaped curves of my spine.
On thing I did differently. I have been thinking about the correlation between power and pace and decided to see what happens if I try to sustain an average pace during a workout. Very early in a piece — between 200 and 300 meters — I dropped splits to a 2:30/500m average pace. From then on I did not allow the pace to exceed this sum.
I rowed 2:26.8 for the first interval and 2:27.2 for the second. I tried to focus solely on pace.
For the first interval the stroke rate averaged between 23 to 25 spm; for the second between 25 to 27 spm.
The Bar Chart displaying power output in watts per stroke had a less jagged top edge than in previous workouts. Force curves also seemed less jagged. Perceived exertion seemed within an aerobic range.
Last thing to note is that I have started doing planks again.
