2k pace prep to 1,500m. Plan was 1:42.5 r29+ to 1,500 and did it without too much pain so definitely stick to this for the 2k. This was about 3hrs after weetabix.
Was planning on 1:43.0 but thought I should try a bit faster. Shorter strokes helped. If I can get to 1,500 feeling like this then I should go sub-6:50 with a 1:42.4 final split. A 1:40.0 split would be 6:47.5, which would be amazing. A 1:41.5 final split would be 6:49.0. A 1:43.5 final split would be very disappointing but still a 6:51.0 PB.
At 1,500m I wasn't in nearly as bad shape as I thought I might be so that is a good sign.
