Another 8x500m, a PR. Goal was 1:47 split (98.6% of 2K PR), rate 30.

As usual, it was very unpleasant. Mentally difficult, especially in the middle. I really struggled to not quit after the fourth and fifth intervals. I was nauseous for part of it, and my face felt mildly numb. (But if it had been pleasant, I’d be doing it wrong.)

The last interval was somewhat magical: I felt my legs pushing more aggressively than usual, giving me a good ratio. It felt so right! That’s how I wish I would row always.

I'm happy with how consistent my intervals are in splits, though not as consistent with rate. I was playing around with rate between 30 and 33.

Hours later, I'm feeling sore. I am sure I'll be sore from this tomorrow.
