The plan adds up to 7:10, or 1:47.5 avg split. I set that split as the pace boat on the erg. I based my plan by turning the screw a little bit on my previous 2K PR. I had some good training between the last 2K test and this one, so I felt capable of going a bit faster than last time.

The team did this 2K test in two heats, so I had some motivation / coxing behind me from teammates. That helped, especially when I heard a compliment about my consistency. Then I had to keep up that good work!

Toward the last 500m, I felt a growing burn in my legs. It is actually the first time I felt the burn distinctly. In previous 2Ks, I had bigger problems, like overall panic. (Mental weakness.) Now, my mental strength seems to match my physical strength.
