I rowed at USC from 1989-1993. I rowed with the Los Angeles Rowing Club from around 2003-2006. Got myself up to 268 lbs by the end of 2017, and started rowing every day for at least 20 minutes a day. That eventually became a 6k daily, which I complete in under 23 minutes. Not a breakneck pace, but my goal is to be able to work out sustainably. If I push myself too hard, it becomes unnecessarily unpleasant. If I keep the workout palatable, I can do it every day. In 2018 I missed eight days and rowed more than 2 million meters (and dropped 71 lbs). I expect to do more than 2 million meters this year as well.
