Rowed in college (UNH), winning gold at New Englands (Champions) in a Novice Heavy Weight 8 (2 seat), and again winning Varsity gold at New Englands (Champions) Heavy Weight 8 (2 seat), and silver in USA (Champions) in Atlanta.

Went to graduate school, put on weight. Became a dad, and a professor, put on more weight. Then made a move I never thought I would make - I bought a Concept2 Ergometer along with weights and a heavy bag to get back in shape.

On the suggestion of a friend and old crew teammate, I successfully completed the 100K challenge in November 2019.

Then, I opened this Concept2 Profile beginning January 1, 2020, as I began a 1.4 million meter challenge to time with my daughter's 14th birthday on December 21st 2020. Currently ahead of schedule!

The machine has been a lifesaver during the pandemic, and I look forward to my time on the machine in a way I never did during my collegiate rowing years.
