Originally from Texas (Nacogdoches, Houston). USNA Class of 1975 (BSEE); Naval Flight Officer in P-3 ASW aircraft; Naval Postgraduate School 1991 (MSCS). Taught CompSci at USNA for final tour, started CS Robotics & Computer Vision course (SI475). Retired as Commander (0-5) in 1995. Systems engineer in Maryland. Moved to western North Carolina in 2016 to babysit grandsons. Have had both knees replaced 8-9 years ago and one hip in 2020. Now a semi-pro wildlife, landscape, and still life photographer (www.cafphotography.biz).
