Very keen sportsman from boxing to county weightlifting champion at 3 weights & team tug of war champion. Contracted serious industrial disease followed by alcohol addiction but now in recovery over 20 years. Running became very important to me at that time & l ran my first marathon aged 68 in 4hrs 15 & my last marathon l was first placed veteran aged 70 with more running events to come. Rowing on the Concept 2 has now become a major part of my fitness regime which l am thoroughly enjoying.
