I have been an athlete for my entire life, beginning with 8 years of competitive cross country and track and field starting at 11 years old. I was a long distance runner for 7 of those 8 years, and transitioned to short distance running (400m) when I was around 17/18 years old. I began weightlifting during this time, which I still continue, however I never stopped running to this day, and even began road cycling a few years ago. I am a senior in college at the University of Oregon studying Human Physiology, and I am a member of the rowing team there.
