I'm a middle aged Midwesterner with Multiple Sclerosis. I was officially diagnosed in 2002. By 2021, my balance was wonky enough that it was hard for me to get good cardio exercise at home, and because of the pandemic, I did not want to work out at my local fitness center. My 48th birthday present to myself in Feb '21 was getting the RowErg and setting it up in our living room. I still walk 3-5 miles a day with walking poles on our half-mile gravel driveway in the woods, but rowing doesn't tax my balance endurance so I can row with more intensity than I can walk...my jog is almost comical!
