pretty good. well-paced on my part. came in aiming for < 20:40, but, during the first 1,000 or so, felt "abundance of strength" and opted to sharpen the goal in order to better utilize my energy. this often happens: the most efficient pace per unit of effort is paradoxically near the peak. was quite breezy until around the halfway point, at which "the cord tautened" and I had to exert myself to maintain the 02:03 split. essentially did just that. by –1,000, I was in a pretty hardcore state and sort of blacked out the last 1000. quite fucking taxed at the end, though not quite gassed.
