Rhythm Row: The goal was to get into a comfortable rhythm and maintain it throughout the row. As my muscles warmed up, my power increased, as well as my heart rate. Nevertheless, I held my rhythm and my cadence, keeping my drive length steady and a light hold on the handle. In keeping with the goal, I had to maintain discipline in keeping to an Endurance pace and not let my emotions push me into a Threshold pace. This is wherein lies the challenge of this workout, it is to develop a sense of what your body is doing and keeping to your pace and plan. The his helps to develop race management skills.
