Team Phoenix - Rising from the ashes toward health!

Nice to see some impressive accomplishments here on C2. Here's a group for the other side of the aisle. ;-) Older. Health challenges. Weight issues. Some or all of the above and beyond. Osteoarthritis. Etc. As I write this I've been rowing for 32 days, with my first splits around 3 minutes. Now my fastest is around 2:25. I am still pooped after 500 but have done 1500. OK, once. 1000 a good number of times. I've been setting virtual distance goals and have now rowed the English Channel and then some. My next goal is to virtually row Loch Ness in both directions, about 72km.. cumulatively since the beginning of my rowing. I am around 44k now. To start I had a complete physical with ECG, and monitor my heart as I row. To others like me, celebrate the accomplishment of others, but keep yourself going on goals of your own... and feel good. We are out of shape, but doing something about it! ;-) Let's keep at it. This is hard... but worth it. We may never see accomplishments like some of the others, but what an accomplishment it is to move steadily forward from where we were! We should create a row group called Team Phoenix... rising from the ashes of our former selves... toward mental and physical health. ;-)
