into week 11 of 16 week concept 2 programme, working very well at the moment. time for 2000 down to 8.11 from 8.46 in week seven , next test in week 16 hoping to get down to 8.00mins I would recomend training programme instead of just doing your own distance and sprint work outs.maurice.todd2@ntlworld.com well june 1st 2000 metre time down to 7.56 well pleased still training but now more 10,000s and 60 minuets 12,336 at the moment , hard work but enjoyable.Loveing these 10,000s up to 4/5 a week now what a challange . Must do some speed work. today just done 8 x 500mtrs hard work.Well reached my 100,000 mtrs target for charity row , will keep going to reach 200,000mtrs this month what a good month december is up to now just completed my first half marathon im well pleased, 1.50.45 not bad for a first go.Bring on the biggy well 200,000 reached 23rd dec. bring on more challenges. did 7 x 500mtrs xmas eve averaged 1.54.7 feastest 1.52.5 long distances paying off at lastwill go for 10 ne. Back again after full knee replacement , taken my time but feeling good once again . Just posted a time of 8 38 for 2 k 2nd one in over a year, more to come i think , my be not the 7 28 i achieved 5 years ago , we try ha . Just taken 12 seconds off 2k time 8 26 .half way through 16 week training programme , 8 weeks of speed work now , hopefully under 8 00 minutes then .Best ever 2k 7.28, 5K 19.28, 10k 41.06. Half Marathon, 1.34.5. Full Marathon 3.21.5.Will never see the like again ha, those times between 60/65. Now 72 , and still doing 5/10K`s and intervals , Keeps me going , loving it. Now found the spin Bike , good 60 minute endurance session, something different for these old bones . Well 77 now and still going , last 4 years been difficult, Found a blocked main artery, rowing one morning , uncomfortable feeling , had it checked out , Angigramm showed furred main artery , treated with medication , Mild angina, nearly 4 years now , back rowing , heart rate stays at 95 to 100 no more 150`s while doing 500
intervals ha . . Found a large , hole in my tummy wall . Large hernia, had the surgery , all well now , How come ive trained for 61 years and now starting to kick me in the butt, . All clear now so enjoying gy m once more , No more rowing racing , nothing to prove now , , Happy days , Keep rowing guys , .
